Q: WTH is Boulder-Springs?
A: Boulder-Springs, Colorado, is a totally fictitious community created for a number of our projects, including serious fiction. Unless you live in a cave, on a desert island, or in Manhattan, you've probably heard about the vast differences in ideology between Boulder, Colorado (the People's Republic of Boulder), and Colorado Springs, Colorado... only 100 miles in distance, yet light-years apart in philosophy. As a satirist, I couldn't resist combining the two into a single political entity. Two extremes with no middle ground. The government of Boulder-Springs is specifically structured so NOTHING can ever get done. In fact, the city's theme is "Where Left Meets Right, and Everybody is Confused."
Q: Why did you include Manhattan in the same sentence with cave and desert island in the previous answer?
A: Most of us in Flyover Country believe that the majority of people in Manhattan don't believe that there actually is life "out there..."
